Bring a Book, Buy a Book

Following on from our success last year, where we raised over €400, the library is fundraising again for St Michael's House.
St Michael's House provides services for people with intellectual disabilities.
The Bring a Book, Buy a Book campaign runs from the 3rd to the 10th March. It works like this: students and staff donate their unwanted books (in reasonable condition please) and then buy other donated books, at a cost of €2 each.
If people do not want to buy books, they can make a €2 donation instead by texting SMH to 57502, or by putting their contribution in the boxes provided in the Library.
You can drop any unwanted books into the Library from today.
All proceeds from the campaign will go to this very worthy charity. Hopefully, we will raise even more money than last year.

Annual reports online

Due to the dramatic decrease in the number of companies/organisations printing copies of their annual reports, this year ITB Library has begun to collect online versions instead.

This is a sample of how they look:

The Equality Authority: you can access any annual report from 2004-2008 online; you can also link to their website for further information.

Abbey plc: you can access any annual report from 2004-2009 online; you can also link to the Abbey plc pages on the Factfinder database and the Irish Stock Exchange website; and you can link to their website.

Independent News and Media: you can access any annual report from from 2004-2008 online; you can link to their website and their pages on Factfinder and the Irish Stock Exchange; and you can find the print copies we hold in the library. The library holds a small core group of annual reports that receive high usage.

If you have any questions about accessing the annual reports or any suggestions of organizations/companies that we should collect, please let us know.
